Supply Chain Logistics
Virtual | 30 January – 14 May 2022
Shelves are empty. Suppliers are taking twice as long to deliver if they deliver at all. Shipping costs have skyrocketed. Media reports of backed-up ships and trucks at global ports resemble nothing less than a Black Friday frenzy. Localization, Rebalancing, and Regionalization are the new buzzwords brandished by industry moguls and politicians alike. How has Supply Chain Strategy changed Post-Covid?
Is this the end of the global supply chain networks that we are so familiar with? Or is it transitory and we will be back to “business as usual” and discussing excess inventory in few months’ from now. Will considerations of sustainable supply chains, social issues and green logistics cause more harm than good for overall costs? Is Supply Chain 4.0 the silver bullet? And how will robotics affect supply chain strategy? These are some of the questions that modern day supply chain managers are grappling with.
As a profession, supply chain management is on the verge of disruptive change due to increased supply network complexities, volatile trading environment and influence of information and communication technologies. With increasing automation comes a contraction of roles, as well as a new skill set to fully leverage the emergence of technology. The opportunities for supply chain managers are mind blowing and exciting. This course will upgrade your SCM skills for the future challenges that are upon us.
