Admissions, Fees & Financing your MS SCM

General Admissions Criteria

Our objective is to bring together the best possible class so that our students can have the best possible experience. We work closely with students both during the application process and throughout the program to ensure they fit well within this collaborative and rigorous academic environment. Each year the Rutgers MS SCM program accepts an exclusive group of students from a broad range of professional and cultural backgrounds. The criteria for selection include the applicant’s potential for success at senior management levels and the ability and motivation to participate in a rigorous course of study while being employed.

Applicants should meet the following admissions standards:

  • A bachelor’s degree or international equivalent (ideally in SCM or other business major or engineering from an accredited college or university)
  • At least 3 years of work experience to demonstrate familiarity with supply chain concepts (ideally three+ years of supply chain related field work experience)
  • Candidates with high level responsibility and international experience
  • Maturity and motivation to succeed in the MS SCM
  • Proficiency in oral and written English

GMAT/GRE is not required for admission into the program. Exceptionally, candidates with other academic/professional qualifications and have substantial work experience at senior management level will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The program is open to Singaporeans, Permanent Residents and Employment visa holders. Other long term visit pass holders are to seek approval from ICA prior to submitting the application for admissions.

Application Checklist

Spring: Jan. 5 | Summer: May. 11 | Fall: Aug. 10

Applications received after the application deadlines will be considered for late enrolment.

Carefully complete, date, and sign the full application form and return it with a non-refundable application fee of SG$109 (non-refundable & inclusive of 9% GST), payable by cheque or electronic funds transfer. Cheques should be made payable to “Rutgers Business School Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd.” Do not send cash.

The application fee will be waived for all applicants who submit their complete application packet (including transcripts, letters of reference, and test scores) by the priority deadline.

Applicants must submit one transcript and certificate for each undergraduate and graduate institution they have attended.

International applicants should submit original or certified (notarized) copies of all post-secondary transcripts, marksheets, examination results, diplomas and degrees. If not issued in English, a translation must be provided from a professional translation agency. Please mail these documents to our address.
If you already have an advanced degree from the U.S., you will need to submit an official copy of the advanced degree, as well as official transcripts from your bachelor’s degree.

Applicants with international degrees are no longer required to have their educational credentials evaluated. However, RBS reserves the right to request an applicant to have their transcript evaluated by a NACES accredited credentialing agency. Situations where this could happen are if the applicant has a **three year degree or for applicants requesting a GMAT waiver. The RBS Office of Graduate Admissions will reach out to the applicant with this request. For a list of NACES agencies, go to: naces.org/members.htm

**Selected three-year Indian bachelor’s degrees may be considered equivalent to a U.S. bachelor degree without an evaluation as long as they have been earned in Division I/First Class and the awarding institution is currently accredited by India’s National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a letter grade of “A” or better. Using the above standards will allow you to know if you are eligible to apply to the graduate programs at Rutgers Business School.

Industry-Wide Course Fee Protection Insurance

Rutgers Business School Asia Pacific has in place an Industry-wide Course Fee Protection Insurance Policy (IWC) to protect the paid fees of students residing in Singapore, renewable on an annual basis. The IWC serves to protect the student’s fees in the event that the PEI is unable to continue operations due to insolvency, and/or regulatory closure. In addition, the IWC protects the student if the PEI fails to pay penalties or return fees to the student arising from judgments made against it by the Singapore courts. We have appointed Lonpac Insurance Bhd as our IWC insurance provider. Under the IWC insurance scheme, students’ fees are insured by Lonpac Insurance Bhd. In case of events as stated above, students will be able to claim their paid fees from Lonpac Insurance Bhd. A copy of the insurance certificate is available here.
