What’s the difference between a Ph.D. and the DBA?

The Ph.D. program prepares students for a career in a research-intensive university, with a focus on academic and theoretical research. The Ph.D. degree does not have a set time for completion, but typically students complete the degree in 5 to 6 years. The DBA program is intended for business leaders who are interested in research with a passion for academic pursuits, and for academics who do not have a doctoral degree. The DBA is a cohort program and is designed to be completed in two years.

TESTIMONIAL

"The professors at Rutgers are great. Through their enthusiasm to impart their lifetime of research and teachings, the students benefitted greatly and the lessons are always over too soon and packed with so much useful information. The application is almost immediate. The capstone Business Strategy class taught by Prof Karafin helped me the next week when I had to attend a Leadership Summit in the US and had to present a business strategy to the CEO and the Operating Committee."
