About the Professor:
Prof Suresh Govindaraj is known in Rutgers as the Grandmaster of Forensic Accounting. Prof Govindaraj teaches Financial Statement Analysis in the Singapore EMBA program. The course now includes a module on Forensic Accounting. Suresh has also been a faculty member at the Stern School of Business, New York University, Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University and the Graduate School of Business, Columbia University. He is also an invited speaker on financial analysis at the Columbia University School of Journalism.

About the Subject
Financial Statement Analysis is an advanced course that uses concepts from all aspects of business to understand and analyze the data being reported in financial statements. It also integrates aspects of forensic analysis. Special sections on Mergers and Acquisitions and Taxes are also included in the syllabus. The general principles, techniques, and tools taught in this course are fundamentally designed to judge the performance of any business corporations (big or small) anywhere in the world –public or private, in the manufacturing, retailing, or services sectors.
