A Message from Dean Lei
Dear RBS Family,
I have some good news to share. Financial Times just published an article (1/26/2020) on what leading business schools have been doing to prepare students from broader socio-economic backgrounds for a successful business career. A total of four U.S. business schools were interviewed for this article, including three private business schools (Harvard Business School, Columbia Business School, USC-Marshall School of Business), and one public business school – Rutgers Business School!
The report highlighted our mentoring program for MBA students (launched in 2018) and included photos of RBS MBA student Juan Penafiel and our building at 100 Rock. Being the only U.S. public business school selected to be interviewed for this article is a testament to our growing reputation for strong mentoring programs like TeamUP MBA, many new initiatives for student career preparation (experiential learning, case competitions, client projects and team-consulting, etc.) and RBS’s long track record of educating first-generation students. Let me use this opportunity to thank our faculty, staff, alumni, board members and friends who offered their strongest support toward the career success and preparation of our diverse students and a better learning experience at Rutgers Business School.
