AmCham Singapore’s Next Generation of Business Leadership program is a special series for AmCham members’ future leaders. This program combines conversational opportunities for young leaders with senior executives, seminars targeting key areas for successful career development, and peer-to-peer connections to expand participants’ professional networks.

Rutgers Business School Asia Pacific continues to recognize and support the impact that young professionals have on the direction of the community, technology, business and society in general, and are honored to be a supporter of the AMCHAM 2018 Next Generation Leadership Forum. As such, we are proud to have our Rutgers Executive MBA professor, Prof. Patti Ippoliti speaking to the Next Generation young leader participants on Wednesday 14th March, 2018.

Prof Patti’s topic will be 2020 Leadership.

The program includes providing insights to young leaders through monthly sessions led by senior executives. This gives these young leaders direct access to business leaders across industries.

The pace of technological and market-driven disruptions is changing the role of leadership, where transformation has become the norm, not the exception. Disruptions create stress on an organization’s capacity to adapt and thrive. They also leave it susceptible to competitors for whom agility is a core competency.

As a leader, you need to be prepared for successful business transformations. You will need to go beyond the details of the initiative and evaluate your broader corporate culture. In particular, you will need to build what I call “transformational fitness”: the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-changing environment. 2020 Leadership is about building 2020 perspective to develop the mindset and capabilities needed to successfully lead today and tomorrow’s organizations.
